Ball mill “running rough” refers to an abnormal phenomenon that the fineness of the milled product is significantly coarse and difficult to control. The coarse running of the ball mill will increase the energy consumption of the ball mill, resulting in waste, and the large particle size will also affect the subsequent sorting. Therefore, in actual production, try to avoid the occurrence of the coarse ball mill.
The main reason why the ball mill “runs rough” is that the capacity of the coarse grinding bin is too strong and the capacity of the fine grinding bin is insufficient. The reasons why the grinding capacity of the coarse grinding bin is significantly higher than that of the fine grinding bin are:
If the loading capacity of the grinding body in the coarse grinding chamber is too small, the diameter of the steel ball is too small, or the filling rate of the grinding body in the fine grinding chamber is much lower than that in the coarse grinding chamber, the loading capacity of the grinding body should be increased, and the gradation of the grinding body should be adjusted to increase the size of the grinding body. The ratio of balls, or the filling rate of the grinding body of the fine grinding chamber is appropriately increased.
If the amount of feeding is too much, or the amount of feeding increases sharply in a short period of time, in the operation, try to ensure that the amount of feeding is compatible with the crushing capacity of the bin, and prevent the amount of feeding suddenly increasing.
If the gap between the grate joints of the partition board is too large, electric welding can be used to weld the steel bars to the large gap.
If the grinding body moves into the bin due to the damage or falling of the partition board, the partition board should be replaced or installed, and the mixed grinding body should be sorted.
If the limestone particle size is too large, the limestone particle size should be reduced. Before the limestone particle size problem is solved, the steel ball diameter of a warehouse should be appropriately increased, or the feeding amount should be temporarily reduced.
If the crushing capacity of the first warehouse is greatly reduced due to the phenomenon of “full grinding” in one warehouse, the “full grinding” problem should be eliminated and prevented.
